Rich Carr is a learning scientist who started out as an overnight DJ and later moved into advertising and marketing. His realization that the brain is the organ we are constantly trying to influence or change led him to the field of cognitive learning neurosciences. Along with his colleague, Dr. Kieran Omani, he authored the book, The Brain centric Design, which has become a movement inspiring people to learn how to think beyond the constructs they’ve been given. Rich’s passion for understanding the brain and how it works drives him to continue exploring and sharing his knowledge with others.

On this episode of Radical Clarity with Yetunde Shorters, we dive deep into the importance of emotions in marketing and branding. Our guest shares his incredible story of overcoming physical injuries and delving into the study of cognitive neuroscience. We discuss the power of emotions in achieving success in business and communication, and how to effectively impact the lizard brain and move towards the prefrontal cortex. The guest shares insight into his book, The Brain-centric Design, which is a growing movement of people learning how to think outside of the constructs that have been put around us. Join us as we learn about the neuroscience behind learning and the power of emotions in achieving success.

Emotions play a crucial role in branding and marketing, and it is important to address them by controlling the colors, words, fonts, photos, and content of the message. Eliminating labeling and stratification and increasing the capacity of the learner are key to helping them grow and apply the information to their lives.
